I most recently worked as a Writer’s Production Assistant for the TBS show Angie Tribeca (Season 2) where I coordinated the writing department’s various needs. In this role I also received a firsthand look at how a network comedy writer’s room functions and the creative process they used to write and plan episodes. I saw how the writers would comment and critique storylines, jokes, and plotlines written for every episode over the course of the second season.
In addition, I also recently worked as a script reader for the BlueCat Screenplay Competition where I had quick turnarounds and had to follow the contest’s specific outline and methodology for screenplay analysis and coverage. I also work as a freelance script reader where I’ve been hired to provide clear in-depth coverage, margin notes, and consultation with additional discourse to the project’s intended audience and budget. As a freelance reader I’ve read for clients including Somnium Pictures, Trevi Productions, and Vertical Road Pictures which included job duties as a story analysis for their latest feature.
I previously interned at Vertigo Entertainment and Endgame Entertainment as a development intern doing a lot of script coverage and reading other media and materials for coverage. This included (but not limited to) books, graphic novels, screeners, TV pilots, and more. Each company trained me in understanding that coverage not only reflected the quality of the content but also if the material fits the company’s interests and target audiences/networks.
I graduated from Ithaca College in their Television-Radio program specializing in Screenwriting. I wrote a spec for Orange is the New Black and in my last semester I studied in Los Angeles while writing an original animated comedy pilot as well. I studied in an dual MA program for International Film Business at the University of Exeter and London Film School but decided to withdraw and move to Los Angeles to start work. I’m currently working on a few features and specs but still enjoy providing coverage and consultation whenever possible.
